Total Car Check’s Gold tier is a strong budget full check. For £9.99 it lists outstanding finance, logbook loans, stolen, write-off and salvage history, MOT, keepers, plate changes, import/export, scrapped status, VIN, a valuation and an ex-taxi search, with a £30,000 guarantee.
The catch is the headline price. The prominent “£1.99” is the per-check cost of a five-pack of the Silver tier, which has no finance check and a smaller guarantee. A mileage discrepancy check also isn’t itemised.
